Welcome to the Pilates series that will get you moving and educate you on all things girlhood. Health and wellness, finance, goal setting, and more. This is the series that doesn’t only support your physical goals but your life goals as well.
Our first Pilates + Girlhood series will feature Katy, who will talk about woman’s health. We are raising awareness and learning to put our health first.
“Hey girlies! My name is Katy, some of you may recognize me from sweating together in Vanessa’s Pilates classes. I work as an ultrasound tech, and through my job and the doctors I’ve worked with I have learned SO much that I wouldn’t have otherwise known about women’s health and the way our bodies work. So, for the first time ever, Pilates will be paired with a presentation to help us get to know our bodies better! I will be speaking about breast health, from self-exams and fun facts, to what the process looks like in our healthcare system when you have a concern you want to address. I’m hopeful that anyone in attendance could learn something new and feel more in tune with their body after this talk. Can’t wait to see you there!”
This is a 50 minute class followed by a 20 minute presentation by Katy then the floor opens up to questions and chat.
Held at New Wave Studio: 1028 SE Water Ave #265, Portland, OR 97214
